“By incorporating B-hyve’s innovative technology and broad industry presence with our intelligent flow meters, we can empower people with the knowledge to better monitor and manage water use for a more meaningful impact. We are excited to announce our partnership with Orbit to further our mission. to monitor water and sediment fluxes over a range of flow stages. Flume Detects both indoor and outdoor water usage Near real time monitoring through the app Self-installation May not be compatible with. The StreamLabs ® smart water monitor keeps an eye on what’s happening with the plumbing behind your walls, and water leak alerts within the app notify you in real-time when water problems arise before they turn into disasters. The major benefits of this partnership for end users include smarter metering, real-time monitoring and management and precise data.įlume CEO Eric Adler said: “From inception, Flume has been a mission-based company working to educate the public on their water use. Relatively cheap surrogate techniques for bedload monitoring (such as hydrophones). “Homeowners won’t only be better conservationists, they’ll save money and feel protected from potential water damage.” But through this powerful integration with Flume that builds off of our great work with B-hyve, we can eliminate a lot of unnecessary water usage by providing real-time insights into their indoor and outdoor water consumption. Orbit CEO Stuart Eyring said: “Outdoor irrigation is one of the biggest culprits of water waste in the home. With the merger of these technologies, consumers can monitor and receive reports on their outdoor and indoor water use at any time on using the B-hyve app. I used a large meter because I didn't want to restrict the flow of water through the meter. The Flume sensor works great, so this isn't an issue. Flume as-is is notification only and it would be really powerful to be able to act upon the notification by turning off the water mains using something like Dome z-wave shut off valve. Flume’s Smart Water Monitor links to existing water meters to analyse water use round-the-clock for the complete home. Note, I installed a large water meter (1' badger M70) but the flume sensor attached only to the top part of the meter, where typical residential meters are much smaller. Hi folks, I would like to formerly request Flume smart water meter sensor integration with Hubitat.
